Abstrak

Abstract This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Musyarakah financing contract at the Islamic Financial Services Cooperative (KJKS) BMT Al Yaman in accordance with the DSN-MUI Fatwa No. 08/DSN-MUI/IV/2000. Musyarakah, as one of the Islamic financing instruments, is characterized by a partnership scheme in which BMT and customers jointly contribute capital and share profits as well as losses based on mutual agreement. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach through document analysis, interviews, and observation of financing practices at BMT Al Yaman. The findings reveal that the implementation of Musyarakah financing at BMT Al Yaman complies with Sharia principles, particularly in terms of contract execution (ijab and qabul), clarity of contract objects, determination of profit-sharing ratios (nisbah), monitoring mechanisms, and dispute resolution procedures. Musyarakah financing contributes significantly to the development of members’ micro and small businesses while strengthening BMT’s role as a community-based Islamic financial institution. Nevertheless, challenges remain, particularly in improving the managerial capacity of customers and enhancing the effectiveness of business monitoring. This study recommends strengthening monitoring mechanisms, increasing Sharia financial literacy among members, and conducting further research using a quantitative approach to measure the financial contribution of Musyarakah financing to the overall performance of BMT more comprehensively
