Abstrak

The purpose of this study is to describe the practice of fulfilling children’s religious right in interfaith couples from the perspective of Law Number 35 0f 2014 concerning Child Procection, regarding how interfaith families fulfillchildren’s rights, including their religion, and to find the analysis of the practice of fulfilling religious rights for children of interfaith couples, whether its in accordance with axisting legal norms such as positive law or not. This research is a qualitative research with data collection techniques, namely interviews, conducted with the community and informants related to this discussion, the interviews conducted are relaxed, uncomplicated, non-pressuring, friendly, the questions asked are also not interrogative but only to obtain the desired data to complete the writing in the research. The results of the study show that children's rights in Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning the protection of children against the practice of fulfilling religious rights in children are complicated. Among the general public, the practice of fulfilling religious rights in children causes various conflicts due to the lack of harmony between parents who adhere to different religions, and with the existence of parties who are not entitled to this always trying and interfering to influence a family in making decisions regarding religious rights in children.
