Pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence (AI) sebagai Alat Pendukung Konselor Sekolah dalam Penanganan Permasalahan Siswa

Abstrak

The development of student problems within the school environment shows an increasingly complex trend, encompassing academic, emotional, social, and mental health aspects. This condition requires school counselors to identify problems quickly and continuously. However, in practice, guidance and counseling services still face limitations in the number of professional personnel, service time, and student data management, which has not yet been optimally integrated. At the same time, advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) offer capabilities to analyze data, identify behavioral patterns, and provide preliminary recommendations that can support counselors’ decision-making processes. Nevertheless, the use of AI in school counseling has not yet been fully accompanied by an approach that positions technology as a professional support tool rather than a replacement for the counselor’s role. This study aims to analyze the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a support tool for school counselors in addressing student problems. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation and interviews. The data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the utilization of AI can improve the efficiency of counseling services, particularly by accelerating information processing, assisting in the mapping of student problems, and supporting the development of more targeted follow-up actions. AI is positioned as a decision-support system for school counselors while continuing to emphasize ethical considerations, data confidentiality, and human interaction throughout the counseling process.
